Sloppy Joe Road Show, The sixth one was held at the Bellefonte Airport where we fed about 25 people. The next one is scheduled for July 14th, at Ridge Soaring Gliderport. The airport is within the KUNV Class D so fly-ins need to call the tower on 128.475. Sign up below for the SJRS mailer to be alerted to updates on the Road Show. We have set the dates for our Fall Fly-in/Camp-in at Centre Hall
for October 4-6. See photos in the scrapbooks to the left for past events. Check out the calendar of events and a link to our facebook page to the left.We had our Christmas party at the Elks in Bellefonte on December 21st. It turns out the the Mayans were wrong and the world did NOT come to an end!
Elections were held for 2013 and the following officers were elected: Malcolm Morrison(president), John Zimmerman(vp), Steve Dershimer(secretary), Dave Dix(treasurer), Craig Eaton(young eagles).

On June 24 the chapter and family members gathered for the annual picnic at Elwood Homan's airstrip. The weather, food, facilities, and friendship were all wonderful. Happy birthday Elwood, and thanks!

Our Young Eagles Program offers free introductory airplane rides to young men and women, ages 8 - 17. This gives our members a chance to share their passion of aviation with a new generation of potential pilots.
